Tabletop roleplaying events can happen whenever a player chooses to roll the dice. While many events don’t require a roll, certain prompts or situations may depend on dice rolls to determine the outcome.

The Fudge Die

Our game uses a custom freeform roleplaying system inspired by the Fudge dice and FATE system. Instead of traditional numbered dice, players roll four Fudge dice for their outcome. Each die has sides marked with +, −, or blank.

• + shifts the result toward success, or cancels out − • − shifts the result toward failure, or neutralizes + • Blank sides leave the outcome unchanged.

The combination of these four dice produces a result that is interpreted collaboratively by the admins and the player, then expressed through narrative roleplay. Outcomes are measured using the FATE ladder, ranging from +8 (Legendary) to −4 (Horrifying).

Furthermore, accrued mission points from completing mission threads can modify the results of a dice roll, as well as a muse’s innate stat spread.

FATE Results Ladder

These outcomes can be achieved using mission points as modifiers.

+8: Legendary: Critical Success! +7: Epic +6: Fantastic +5: Superb

These outcomes can be achieved with or without using mission points as modifiers.

+4: Great +3: Good +2: Fair +1: Average

+0: Mediocre: Threshold for Success.

−1: Poor −2: Terrible −3: Catastrophic −4: Horrifying: Critical Failure.

Mission Points

Our game features bimonthly writing prompts every two months that serve as in-game missions. These missions are designed to create space for both hero muses and civilian muses to interact.
