INVICTUS is a roleplay game and community created by queer people of color. We explicitly denounce police and surveillance states. Any portrayal of law enforcement or government agents is handled by admins solely for plot progression and does not represent endorsement of any political regime.

Content & Themes

• Storylines may include politicized narratives and sensitive subject matter, including but not limited to satire, strong language, and a critical exploration of systemic issues in pop culture and superhero media. Viewer and participant discretion is advised.
• Acts of racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, or similar discrimination are not permitted in active plots or interactions by muses.
• These topics may be referenced in backstories or explored in-game as a muse’s lived-in experiences only with admin approval and appropriate trigger tags. Admins may request edits or exclusions to abide by our code of conduct.

Plot & Character Guidelines

• Admins may ask players to adjust personal plots to prevent conflicts with overarching storylines.
• If a personal plot can significantly impact the game’s narrative or other characters, players must receive approval from the admin team and involved players beforehand.
• Roleplaying is a collaborative writing experience. Our game does not tolerate godmodding, metagaming, powerplaying, or bubbling.

Roleplay Conduct

• Treat all writers with patience and kindness. Remember there are real people behind the screen.
• Please ensure blogs are accessible (avoid hard to read fonts, colors, images) for those with vision impairments, or for those who use screen readers.
• Trim threads in replies for accessibility. We recommend the web extension xkit rewritten 1. (firefox) / 2. (chrome).
• Generative AI usage is strictly forbidden. Players caught using AI to write replies or make graphics, etc. will be removed and banned.
• For issues or concerns, submit a support ticket on the Discord server so admins can prioritize your message.

Faceclaims

• The admin team may not always be fully up-to-date on the backgrounds of every potential faceclaim, but we do our best to encourage underused and diverse choices. We don’t maintain a formal ban list at this time. That said, please use sound judgment. If a faceclaim is banned in other games, they will most likely be rejected here as well.
• Faceclaims will be rejected if they:
  • Have no acting credits.
  • Have requested not to be used in roleplay.
  • Are deceased.
  • Have serious allegations against them.
• We allow a +5/-5 age range for faceclaims. Gif resources may be used outside this rule, but please exercise thoughtful judgment.
